GUARDIANSHIP PROGRAM

We are looking for local families!

At Doodles & Doxies we believe that every dog deserves to have a loving, forever home. It is important to us that all of our parent dogs are part of a family and live in a home rather than kennels so that we know they are getting as much attention as possible.

In order to accomplish this, we occasionally partner with local families, which we call a “Guardian Home”. These homes have become an important part of our program which benefits everyone involved:  the dog, the breeder and the forever family.

Becoming a partner in our Guardian Program allows for local families to have a breeder's “Pick of the Litter” puppy as a family pet and at a "discounted" puppy price, and in return we require your help to return the dog when it is time for breeding. We will periodically hold the best of our litter back to add to our program, as well as add certain dogs to our program from other reputable breeders based on the genetics they carry that we need in order to accomplish our goals of producing the best quality puppies.

We consider our guardian homes an extension of our family. We view this arrangement as a "working relationship" toward the well-being our dog,  In exchange for treating our puppy as your baby and welcoming the puppy into your home, we offer incentives to make the back and forth easier to bear. :)

If you think the idea of working within our program is something that fits your family, keep reading to find out more about this opportunity!

THE BENEFITS OF BEING ONE OF OUR GUARDIAN HOMES:

Our focus for this part of our program is to work towards a mutually beneficial relationship between ourselves and our Guardian families.

  • We offer you a pick of the litter puppy at a discounted rate of $500. (This price can be higher if the puppy is older than 12 weeks of age and has received any additional training or vaccines.)

  • All of our dogs come with breeder support for the life of the dog

  • We provide boarding if you need it at a competitive rate of $40/day whenever your family needs it!

  • When the dog has fulfilled an appropriate number of litters, they will be spayed or neutered at no cost to you.

  • If you are the home to one of our female dogs, we offer a $250 compensation for each litter the dog has as our way to say thanks for the inconvenience of being away from your sweet pet.
