We are looking for local, loving homes!
At Doodles & Doxies we believe that every dog deserves to have a loving, forever home. All of our parent dogs are part of our family and live in our home rather than kennels so that we know they are getting as much attention as possible.
Because we believe that a family life is of utmost importance, our Guardian
Homes have become an important part of our program which benefits everyone involved: the dog, the breeder and the forever family.
Becoming a partner in our Guardian Program allows for local families to have a breeder's “Pick of the Litter” puppy as a family pet and at a "discounted" puppy price. These pups are chosen at birth by the breeder, and then approved to live with you as your family dog while we retain breeding rights for the dog. Health testing and fees related to breeding are the responsibility of Doodles & Doxies. Routine vet care, grooming, feeding, training and socializing are the responsibility of the Guardian Family. At the end of the breeding career of the dog, ownership of the dog is then permanently transferred to the guardian home family.
We consider our guardian homes an extension of our family. We view this arrangement as a "working relationship" toward the well-being our our dog, We are selective in who we choose because this relationship requires communication. In exchange for treating our puppy as your baby and welcoming the puppy into your home, we offer incentives to make the back and forth easier to bear. :)
For a female in our program:
We ask for 4 litters. Back to back with approval at each heat from our vet.
We offer 2 incentives for you to choose from in addition to one of our dogs for free.
1. $100 per puppy, for each litter.
2. Free puppy from your female on her 4th litter. (3rd Pick)
You would be welcome to come visit our home at any time during her 8 week stay while we help your dog rear her puppies. We are open to weekly FaceTime chats as well, as we know you would be missing her! We treat her as our own, as she raises her pups inside our home, living as our family member.
For the male guardians:
We ask the male be available for approved breedings for up to 5 years old, no more than 4 times a year.
$200 per litter until he is 5 years old, or Free Puppy from us out of your Male's last litter. (3rd Pick)
When your pup has fulfilled their career with us, he/she will be neutered/spayed at our expense and returned back to you with no further obligations to us.
Doodles & Doxies will retain ALL breeding rights. Our name/phone number is listed as the first owner at your vet and groomer. And of course, if we feel the health of the dog is compromised at any time, we reserve the right to cancel our guardianship commitment. If we make this decision, we will notify you that you are no longer under any further obligation. We will still honor the spay or neuter at our expense.
