Pearl + Pickles gave us some GORGEOUS short coats in their litter!

This is our first litter with dilute options, and we carefully picked 2 parents from breeders who have a good history of no Alopecia (a hair loss condition) in their genes! However, education is needed and since Alopecia can't be detected in the DNA testing (there's not test for it at the moment) we have to mention that there's always a possibility of that with ANY dog, but "more commonly seen" within the dilute dogs. We are confident in the breeders we worked with to get Pearl and Pickles, and their lines seem to not be affected by this issue. In the Purina article I linked they don't even mention dilute dogs as more susceptible, and in fact confirm that it can happen to any dog.
